    Event Description

Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings performing at a Las Vegas coffee house. As one of today’s premiere stand-up comedians, Koy sells-out theaters and arenas across the world with his infectious and explosive energy onstage. The comedian pulls inspiration from his family, specifically his son, with material that has universal appeal.

In November 2017, the comedian broke a record for the most tickets sold by a single artist at The Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu with 11 sold-out shows and over 23,000 tickets sold. Celebrating this accomplishment, the mayor’s office in Honolulu proclaimed November 24th as “Jo Koy Day.” Koy is also the only comedian to sell out 6 shows at The Warfield in San Francisco, he broke the attendance record at Club Regent Event Centre in Winnipeg with 4 sold-out shows, and is one of the few acts to sellout 2 shows at The Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, FL. In July 2018, Koy was given the prestigious “Stand-Up Comedian Of The Year” award at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

Today, the comedian tours around the world and is currently wrapping up his Break The Mold World Tour just in time for his highly anticipated Netflix special, Comin’ In Hot to release June 2019. Koy will launch his Just Kidding World Tour in August 2019 with all new material not on the previous tour or upcoming special.

Koy released his first stand-up comedy album, Live From Seattle and reached #1 on the Billboard Charts. He can also be heard on his weekly podcast, The Koy Pond with Jo Koy by Starburns Audio. Listeners can dive in each week as Koy welcomes friends and fellow comedians to share their hilarious insights on life. For more info on the podcast, album and tour dates, please visit: jokoy.com.

TruTV has also greenlit the animated comedy pilot, This Functional Family starring Koy. The half-hour animated project puts Koy at the center of a fractured, patched-up, multiracial, dysfunctional family. It draws upon Koy’s real-life experiences and characters featured in his stand-up.

Later this year, fans can also catch Koy on the silver screen co-starring alongside Brandon Routh and Donna Murphy as “Vladimir Lenin” in the upcoming live-action film, Anastasia.

In 2005, Koy had the opportunity of a lifetime when he performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He became one of a select few comics to receive a standing ovation on the show. Since then, Koy has had three highly rated and successful comedy specials on Comedy Central and Netflix, which includes his most recent Netflix special, Jo Koy: Live from Seattle

Koy has appeared on over 140 episodes of Chelsea Lately as a season regular roundtable guest. Other appearances include: The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Beat Bobby Flay, @Midnight with Chris Hardwick, Spike TV’s Adam Carolla & Friends Build Stuff Live, Celebrity Page TV, VH1, World’s Funniest Fails, Sean In The Wild, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Last Call with Carson Daly.

      Event Description

From filling sold-out clubs across the nation, to appearing weekly as a regular on Chelsea Lately, Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings at a Las Vegas coffee house. His infectious, explosive energy onstage, insightful jokes, and family-inspired humor crosses all boundaries. In 2007, Variety magazine named Jo Koy one of the “10 Comics to Watch!”

Raised in Tacoma, Washington, Jo credits his mother for his comedic and acting talents. Encouraged by his mom, Jo participated in school talent shows and presented impromptu performances for his family and friends. This loving support led to the Las Vegas coffee house, and inspired a move to Los Angeles.

In 2005, Jo hit the “opportunity of a lifetime” with a performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He became one of a select few ever to receive a standing ovation. Since then, he has appeared several times throughout the years.

A single father, Jo Koy was inspired by his son and began working on his first Comedy Central special “Don’t Make Him Angry,” which aired in January 2009. His much- anticipated second Comedy Central special “Lights Out” aired in October 2012, and is now available on DVD.

Jo has appeared on various VH1 I Love series, as well as The Joy Behar Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly, and Jamie Foxx: Laffapalooza. He is a regular headlining comedian at the world famous Improv, tours the college circuit nationwide, and performs in comedy clubs both in the U.S., and internationally. A firm believer in service and giving back to the community, Jo is currently working with The Lupus Foundation bringing awareness to this cause. Jo resides in Los Angeles, California.
